Stop the pulling
Leash pulling is fixable with consistency and the right mechanics. You don’t need to walk farther — you need to walk smarter.
- Stop moving. When tension happens, stop immediately. Wait for slack before resuming.
- Reward position. Treat frequently when your dog chooses to walk at your side.
- Change direction. Unpredictability keeps your dog engaged with you, not the environment.
- Let them sniff — strategically.Use “go sniff” as a reward after calm walking.
